Mord'Sith leathers 2 (very pic heavy)

After I made the patterns last time, I could finally start to work with the real leather!

This is the leather I ordered and made these drawing of what I needed on the back.
on the right side you see the things for the corset, the single pieces for the neckguard in the middle and the long thing on the the left side is going to be the leg piece.

After I finished drawing the patterns, I started cutting them out. The cutter-knife is the best to do straight lines, the scissor the best for curves.

Also the cutter-knife is pretty SHARP! I got blood on my leathers xD Well that's obviously supposed to happen xD I just wasn't expecting it to be my own...


In this picture I'm working on the edges with a special tool. It's smoothing out the edges, so they are not as sharp and it will (hopefully) look more natural in the end.


With the punch pliers I made the holes for the lacing. I needed to do it all now and adjust the single neckpieces again and again (and again) to fit me. I won't be able to move my neck much or look down! AND BREATHING IS OVERRATED! No seriously its okay xD




This is the agiel holder thing I finished last week. There still need to be small stripes of leather to hold the agiel in place, but I need to dye it first. Also I want to make some ornaments/decorations in the leather like the original has too.

These are the shoes I ordered. Unfortunately the pics are a bit dark. The shoes were taken by the customs office again - they have a thing for the things I order :-/ ! But the boots were better to explain as the Agiel that looks like a sex toy at least.... ehem.. BUT the most important thing: they fit! You just have to imagine them in red leather.




These are the pieces for the corset. Yes, hard to imagine, I know xD
I'm still missing the three buckles that are attached in the middle, but I ordered them already. It's been two weeks now, so I hope to get them this or next week.

This is the legpiece, where the agiel holder will be fasted on. The stripes are still missing.

And this is the "finished" neckpiece. Now I just need to make the decorations into the leather, then I can dye it. The lacing won't stay in two colors either xD


These are the 'things' that I bought for the corset to lace it up at the side. OMG it was so hard to get them!! I have now idea how long I searched - and found as good as nothing. And I only found these by accident on ebay (the only!!) maybe it's because I'm not 100 %-sure how they are called.. whatever. Well I have now idea yet how to attach them, but maybe I can do it with a eyelet pliers that I already have or I'll need to go to a cobbler(s)/showmaker how will have a maschine for that...we will see.

So.. I guess I'll be doing the decorations into the leather on the weekend and make the the cuttings for the leather strips that go across (or more over) the corset an the legpiece. I need to make them before I start dyeing it red.

The only problem I have now is the body suit. I had found this shop on ebay that made them for a affordable price, but it seems to be gone now and I can't find it anymore. So - either I'm ordering one from legandcostumes (that would be more pricy than the one I found before( especially bc I'll need to pay $ 150 for tax extra here) ooooorrrrr I'm going to make it myself too.. hm.. I've to think about that - I have no expierence with this stuff.. but I would have help. hm... hm...

You've made so much progress, too! I can really see all the pieces taking shape!! I AM SO EXCITED OMG.

Also, you should post the shiz out of this on tumblr. People would be all over it, especially when you're done.

Haha that's sweet! xD But it's not that complicated at all xD you could totally make one too and we'd agiel them together
I'm very excited to see the finished version... but the buckles for the corset have still not arrived so I can't finish it.. I hope they come soon (or at all..)
Hm.. I will think about that (in the meantime I dared to visit that place xD)

awesome! soooo crazy! love the boots. the neckpiece and belt already look the part. I can almost see it.
I remember you putting on the neckpiece at ring*con xD it will look great. I'm majorly impressed.
oh and please don't hurt yourself :x no need to get the blood already on the leathers.

Thanks dear xD Yes the corset is still not the right way, but I'm getting there xD I guess that I will finish thing up at the weekend so I can color it red *yay* I've done these 'decorations' on the belt and the small pieces already, so only the neckpiece needs to be finished..

haha do you think I'll find some one else for getting blood on them? :P
